Steve Williamson

Steve has served as our President and CEO since March 2024. From November 2020 until February 2024, Steve served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Outset Medical, Inc., a medical technology company pioneering a first-of-its-kind technology to reduce the cost and complexity of dialysis. Prior to Outset, he served as the Worldwide President for the Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit of CR Bard (Bard) and later Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) following Bard’s acquisition by BD. In his eight years running the $1.5 billion PI business unit, Steve drove significant revenue growth and global expansion, along with numerous product launches and acquisitions. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the GYN Surgical Products business at Hologic. Steve holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master of Business Administration from Bentley College.

Mehul Joshi

Mehul Joshi has served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer since April 2024 and brings over 30 years of experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and Technology industries. Previously, Mehul was Chief Financial Officer at PhenomeX Inc. until its acquisition in 2023. Prior to PhenomeX, Mehul held senior finance roles at ResMed and Gilead Sciences for almost 20 years, including most recently as Senior Vice President, Finance & Head of Global FP&A at ResMed. Mehul supported multiple business models, evaluated and integrated strategic acquisitions, and enabled exponential growth of both companies during his tenure. Mehul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Beran Rose

Beran has 20 years of experience driving growth through product strategy, market development, and commercial execution. Prior to Pulmonx, Beran was Global Group Marketing Director at Boston Scientific, where he was responsible for building BSC’s Pulmonary business. He built a new product portfolio and created the market for the first procedure to treat severe asthma. Prior to his role in marketing, Beran was a director of strategy within the R&D and clinical organizations of Boston Scientific. Prior to Boston Scientific, Beran has a decade of management consulting experience for leading healthcare and high-tech companies in Europe and the USA. Beran received a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Sri Radhakrishnan

Sri has nearly 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. He joined Pulmonx in 2008 and served as Sr. Director/VP of R&D and Operations prior to being named Chief Technical Officer. He started his medical device career at Medtronic AneuRx/AVE and subsequently held management positions in engineering and operations at Bacchus Vascular (Covidien), Foxhollow, and ev3. Previously, he worked in the engineering consulting and energy sectors. Sri holds a BS in Production Engineering from the University of Bombay and an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama.

Lisa Paul

Lisa Paul has over 30 years in Human Resources leadership experience in medical device, technology, services, and communications companies. Prior to joining Pulmonx, Lisa was the Chief People Officer at Natus Medical Incorporated from 2019-2022 and EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at Oclaro Technology Incorporated from 2014-2018. Her responsibilities include all aspects of Global Human Resources including developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, culture, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. Lisa has also held HR leadership roles at Flex, Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems. Lisa is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.

David Lehman

David brings over 30 years of experience as an in-house attorney to Pulmonx. Prior to joining Pulmonx, David was Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Intersect ENT, where he created and managed the legal and compliance function for the ENT medical technology company. Prior to Intersect ENT, he was with Thoratec Corporation, a global leader in medical technology addressing advanced-stage heart failure, as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary until Thoratec’s sale to St. Jude Medical in 2015. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Counsel at Brigade Corporation, a business process outsourcing company. He previously held positions in the legal departments of Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., a life science research and clinical diagnostics company, and Mitsubishi International Corporation, a Japanese trading company, in their New York and Tokyo offices. David began his career as an associate attorney at the law firm of Hall, Dickler, Kent, Friedman & Wood in New York. David holds a B.A. in political science from The University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from Cornell University Law School.

Sarah Huber

Sarah has over 20 years of leadership experience in sales and operations for healthcare organizations, leading teams to achieve growth goals and exceed revenue targets. Prior to Pulmonx, Sarah has held Vice President of Sales roles at Boston Scientific, BTG, Smile Brands, and Conceptus, along with senior sales positions at American Medical Systems earlier in her career. Throughout her career she has worked on a broad range of medical devices and developed expertise with disposable, implantable and capital equipment, as well as building markets for disruptive technology. Sarah holds a BA from Mount Mercy University and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Dallas.

Jérôme Erath

Jérôme has more than 20 years of successful healthcare management experience. He is an international executive with a focus on developing markets for breakthrough technologies. Jérôme has held roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, and general management in Europe and North America. Jérôme joined Pulmonx from Covidien, where he built and led Covidien’s Vascular Therapies division as its Vice President & General Manager EMEA. Prior to this, he served as VP & GM for ev3 International, acquired by Covidien in 2011. Previously, Jérôme held P&L responsibilities at Baxter International and Celesio. Jérôme holds a Business Administration degree from ISC Paris and a Specialized Master diploma from ESCP Europe.

Lauren Cristina

Lauren has nearly 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. She joined Pulmonx in 2009 and served as Director, Finance and Administration until being named Vice President, Finance and Administration in November 2013. Lauren has primary responsibility for leading the Pulmonx U.S. finance function. Prior to joining Pulmonx, Lauren was Director, Finance and Administration at Emphasys Medical. Previously, she worked in the high-tech industry at VLSI Technology and in the public sector for the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. Lauren holds a B.S.C. in Finance and an M.B.A from Santa Clara University.

Marcee Maroney

Marcee has more than 25 years of successful market development and commercialization experience within the medical device industry. Prior to Pulmonx, Marcee was General Manager at Factory CRO, where she led the development of their US business unit with a focus on market development and commercialization growth. Prior to her time at Factory, Marcee was VP of Marketing and Clinical Affairs for Carbylan Biosurgery, where she was responsible for market needs assessment, clinical education, strategy, and execution. Marcee has held positions of increasing responsibility at Baxter BioSurgery, Cohesion Technologies and Collagen Corporation. Marcee received a BS in Biology and a MS in Immunology from San Jose State University.

Narinder S. Shargill, PhD

Narinder has more than 30 years of experience in taking medical devices through clinical development, regulatory approvals, and post-approval support through Medical Affairs’ activities, with over 20 years of experience in interventional pulmonology. He led the execution of the key clinical trials leading to the FDA approval of the Zephyr Valves in the US. Prior to Pulmonx, Narinder was Vice President, Clinical Strategy and Medical Affairs–Pulmonary at Boston Scientific, where he played a key global role supporting the Alair^® Bronchial Thermoplasty System. Previously, Narinder served as Vice President, Clinical Affairs at Asthmatx, where his efforts led to the approval of the first therapeutic device in the interventional pulmonology space. Earlier in his career, Narinder worked with Baxter following its acquisition of Fusion Medical Technologies, Nycomed Salutar, and Scios Inc. Narinder holds a PhD in Nutrition/Biochemistry from the University of Southampton, England, and completed his post-doctoral training jointly at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and School of Pharmacy.

Kelly M. Shriner

Kelly has more than 35 years of experience in the medical device business in both large and small companies. For a majority of this time, Kelly has been focused on the development and initial commercialization of revolutionary procedures for the treatment of asthma and emphysema. Prior to Pulmonx, Kelly led reimbursement for Pulmonary Endoscopy at Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC). Before that, she was Vice President, Reimbursement and a founding member of the team at Asthmatx, which was spun off from Broncus Technologies, Inc. and later acquired by BSC. Prior to Asthmatx, Kelly was Vice President, Marketing and a founding member of the team at Broncus. Earlier in her career, Kelly held marketing and engineering positions at CR Bard, Inc. and Strato Medical Corporation (acquired by Pfizer). Kelly holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.

John McKune

Prior to joining Pulmonx, John was Vice President, Corporate Controller at Accuray, a publicly traded radiation therapy company, where he had responsibility for worldwide accounting, tax, and treasury operations. Previously, John held financial leadership positions at two other publicly traded companies including Carbylan Therapeutics, where he served as Vice President Finance & Principal Accounting Officer, and as Corporate Controller at Conceptus, which was acquired by Bayer Healthcare. John began his career in public accounting, spending five years in the Silicon Valley office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. John holds a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Throughout his career, he has driven revenue growth and market share across diverse specialties within the device and large capital equipment markets. Prior to Pulmonx, Bryan was the VP, Global Commercial Operations for Nevro Corporation. Before joining Nevro, he was the General Manager of the Americas at Accuray and has held commercial leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Potrero Medical, Thoratec/St. Jude Medical, Bayer Healthcare, and I-Flow Corporation. Bryan holds a BS in Biology from Central Michigan University.

Rizwan Pervez

VP of Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance

Rizwan has over two decades of expertise in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Compliance, leading global strategies across various sectors of the medical device industry. His experience spans intravascular ultrasound catheters, in vitro diagnostics, respiratory intervention, patient monitoring, diabetes, endotracheal care, digital health, AI, and software as a medical device. Prior to Pulmonx, he was the VP of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Tandem Diabetes Care managing worldwide regulatory and quality strategies, working closely with the FDA, EU, and other global regulatory agencies for compliance and product approvals. Before joining Tandem, he served as the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Medtronic, overseeing operations across international markets. Earlier in his career, Rizwan held senior leadership roles in regulatory and quality at Volcano Corporation, AmerisourceBergen, GE Healthcare, and Abbott Labs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Dana G. Mead, Jr. has served as a member of our Board since February 2010 and has served as our Chairman since October 2019. From May 2019 to February 2021, Mr. Mead served as the Chief Executive Officer, President and director of HeartFlow, Inc., a medical technology company. From November 2016 to May 2019, Mr. Mead served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Beaver-Visitec International, Inc., a surgical device developer and manufacturer. From June 2005 to November 2016, Mr. Mead served as a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a venture capital investment firm. In addition to serving on our board of directors, Mr. Mead has served on the board of directors of Inari Medical, Inc. since October 2021, the board of directors of Inspire Medical Systems since July 2008 where he serves on its audit committee and the board of directors of Intersect ENT, Inc. since January 2006, where he serves on its compensation committee. Mr. Mead holds a B.A. from Lafayette College and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.

From May 2003 to August 2012, he held various positions at Hologic, Inc., most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the GYN Surgical Products Business. Mr. Williamson received his B.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an M.B.A. from Bentley College.

Mr. Burns has served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Glaukos since March 2002, and additionally served as President from March 2002 to March 2022. From October 2009 until June 2015, Mr. Burns served as a member and the Chairman of the board of directors of DOSE Medical Corporation, a medical technology company. From March 2010 until June 2015, Mr. Burns served as DOSE Medical Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Richard M. Ferrari has served as a member of our Board since February 2007. Mr. Ferrari is the Co-Founder of De Novo Ventures, a healthcare investment firm dedicated to medical devices and bio-technology, and has served as a Managing Director since 2000. Mr. Ferrari also serves as a faculty member of the Stanford Biodesign Emerging Entrepreneurs Forum, as well as a board member for the Stanford Coulter Foundation for Translational Medicine. From October 1995 to May 1999, Mr. Ferrari co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of CardioThoracic Systems, Inc., a surgery medical technology and device company. From January 1990 to June 1995, Mr. Ferrari served as the CEO of Cardiovascular Imaging Systems, a developer of ultrasound imaging. Mr. Ferrari has served on the board of directors of HeartBeam, Inc. since December 2019 and as Executive Chairman since June 2021. Mr. Ferrari holds a B.S. from Ashland University and an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida.

Mr. Florin has served as Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana since February 2022. From July 2019 to March 2020, Mr. Florin served as Executive Vice President of Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc., a medical device company. From June 2015 to July 2019, Mr. Florin served as Zimmer Biomet’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From July 2017 to December 2017, Mr. Florin served as Zimmer Biomet’s Interim Chief Executive Officer. From June 2007 to June 2015, Mr. Florin served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Biomet, Inc. (prior to Biomet’s merger with Zimmer). From January 2001 to May 2007, Mr. Florin served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Boston Scientific Corporation. Mr. French has over 25 years of experience leading a number of interventional pulmonology medical device companies. From January 2014 to November 2014, Mr. French served as Chief Executive Officer and as a director of ApniCure. From October 2010 to December 2012, Mr. French served as President of Pulmonary Endoscopy for Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC), following BSC’s acquisition of Asthmatx in October 2010. From December 2003 to October 2010, Mr. French served as Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder, and as a director of Asthmatx, Inc.. From March 1997 to December 2003, Mr. French served as Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder, and as a director of Broncus Technologies, Inc.. Mr. French served as the Executive Chairman of the board of directors of Levita Magnetics, a medical device company, from August 2013 to January 2022. Ms. Garinois-Melenikiotou served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Marketing at The Estée Lauder Companies, a global beauty products company, from January 2015 to July 2020, and as Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing from April 2010 through December 2014. Prior to The Estée Lauder Companies, Ms. Garinois-Melenikiotou spent 27-years at Johnson & Johnson, a global manufacturer of medical devices, pharmaceutical products and consumer packaged goods, including in several senior leadership positions, most recently as President, Beauty Global Business Unit Strategy and New Growth from 2007 to 2010 and, from 2006 to 2007, as President, Beauty Care, EAME. Ms. Garinois-Melenikiotou currently serves on the boards of directors of Douglas Group, a beauty brand company, since March 2024, Natura & Co Holding S.A., a beauty brand company, since April 2021, Inspire Medical Systems, a medical device company since July 2020, and Almirall, S.A., a Spanish pharmaceutical company since January 2015. Ms. Garinois-Melenikiotou also serves on the board of directors of the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. Tiffany Sullivan has served as a member of our Board since July 2021. Since October 2020, Ms. Sullivan has served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Physician Services at New York-Presbyterian. Ms. Sullivan previously served as the Senior Vice President, Clinical Integration and Ambulatory Services at University of Maryland Capital Region Health from January 2018 through October 2020, and as the Vice President, Community and Population Health from January 2016 through December 2017. Ms. Sullivan holds an M.P.H. from the University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health, and B.A. in Biology from Columbia College. Ms. Sullivan has received many honors and awards including the Foster G. McGaw Prize for Excellence in Community Service and the Congressman James E. Clyburn Public Health and Health Disparities Community Leadership Award.
